Giavanna Rinaldi, originally from Wayne, Illinois, and now based in Wellington, Florida, is a talented international show jumping athlete representing the USA. Her journey in equestrian sports began at just three years old, when she discovered her passion for riding through lessons at a local stable and participation in a pony club. By age 14, she was determined to advance her skills, leading her to train with Alex Jayne at Our Day Farm. During her time there, she became a sought-after catch rider and achieved significant milestones, including her debut in the Junior Nations Cup in Langley, Canada, where she contributed to Team USA’s victory in the Nations Cup and claimed the Grand Prix title.
In 2018, Giavanna took a bold step in her career, moving to Germany to work with renowned trainer Helena Stormanns. This experience allowed her to refine her skills while competing at some of the most prestigious events in Europe, such as LGCT Monaco, Paris, Rome, and Valkenswaard. She also excelled in Young Rider Nations Cup competitions, helping Team USA secure gold in Hagen, Germany, and winning the Grand Prix in Opglabeek, Belgium, in 2019.
Returning to the United States in 2021, Giavanna quickly rose through the ranks during the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) circuit, achieving top placements in 3* and 4* events. Her dedication paid off when she claimed her first 5* Grand Prix victory at Spruce Meadows at just 22 years old—a career-defining moment for both her and her horse. That same year, she earned her first Senior 5* Nations Cup selection, representing Team USA in Xalapa, Mexico, and fulfilling a lifelong dream by competing at the Spruce Meadows Masters.
Today, Giavanna Rinaldi continues to develop and showcase top-level horses, competing on some of the world’s biggest stages and solidifying her place as a rising star in international show jumping.
