L’8th of March is an opportunity to reflect on gender equality, a topic that also concerns equestrian sports, where men and women compete on equal terms.
However, in disciplines such as show jumping, female representation at the top levels is still limited: only 22 female riders are among the top 100 in the world rankings, despite the fact that the majority of practitioners are women. In dressage, on the other hand, the landscape is more balanced.
Things are gradually changing. Our riders prove every day that, even as they go through natural phases of life, such as taking breaks for family reasons, they can resume their careers at the highest levels with passion and determination.
Prestige supports equestrian sports enthusiasts without distinction, standing alongside top athletes and rising talents.
Among them are Sophie Hinners, Janne Friederike Meyer, and Katrin Eckermann, who are part of the Iron Dames, an elite team competing in FEI events and fostering new talent. Last weekend in Doha, our ambassadors shone with the Cannes Stars, winning the first leg of the 2025 Global Champions League.
Over the years, Prestige has supported champions who have made equestrian history, such as Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, the first and only woman to reach the top of the FEI world rankings and winner of the World Cup in 2005. More recently, in 2024, Sophie Hinners claimed victory in the Verona leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™, bringing a female triumph back to this prestigious event.
Prestige’s commitment is also reflected in the development of saddles designed to meet the needs of all equestrian enthusiasts.
Iconic models such as the X-Meredith and X-Helen, created in collaboration with our ambassadors, embody an inclusive vision: unisex saddles designed to support both today’s and tomorrow’s riders.
We are proud to be represented by so many extraordinary athletes who continue to stand out in the equestrian world.
