Jana entered the world of equestrianism thanks to her sister Kristina, who was already a horse fan and asked Jana to come along to a local stable in their hometown Emsdetten in Germany during her teenage years. From that moment on, Jana was spellbound by all things horses and spent all her free time at the stables, turning her passion for horses into an essential part of her life. In 2012, she was named “Female Athlete of the Year” in Greven, Germany.
After working for about fifteen years for a sport- and trading stable, she started C&W Showjumping Stables in Germany while also starting a collaboration with Enda Carroll’s Ashford Farm. Under the Ashford Farm flag, she trained and successfully competed with many horses for the Belgian farm up to top-level. A few years later, both riders relocated to Ashford Farm in Belgium which was a springboard for Jana’s career onto becoming a trusted rider to represent the German team at Nations Cups and other major events next to winning multiple high-ranking Grand Prix’s.
