Marlon Modolo Zanotelli

Originally from Brazil, Marlon Zanotelli lives in Belgium with his wife, Swedish show jumper Angelica Augustsson-Zanotelli. Marlon began riding at the age of four in Fortaleza, Brazil. His start in the horse world was influenced by his grandfather Darcy and his father Mario, who opened their own riding school.

Marlon soon got noticed in South American competitions, and moved to Guatemala to ride for Helio Pessoa, later transferring back to Brazil to work for Yuri Mansur.

The most important experience, the one that marked his definitive move to Europe, was at Ashford Farm in Belgium, where he worked for a few years.

Belgium is the country where he lives now, with his wife and family, all of whom share his passion for the sport. Marlon and his wife also founded Augustsson-Zanotelli Stables in Limbourg.

Having reached the top of the world rankings, Marlon is energized by the love and support of those dear to him.

Among his most recent victories, his win at the GCT in Paris 2022, a bronze medal at the GCT in Rome, and that at the Nations’ Cup Finals in Madrid that same year, are worth mentioning.
