Jana entered the world of equestrianism thanks to her sister Kristina, who introduced her to stables during her teenage years. From that moment on, she spent all her free time there, turning her passion for horses into an essential part of her life.
In 2012, she was named “Female Athlete of the Year” in Greven, Germany.
After working for about fifteen years for Kurz Holz, she met Michael Cristofoletti. Together, they began running their own business while also starting a collaboration with Enda Carroll’s Ashford Farm.
A few years later, the couple decided to relocate to Belgium.
The following year, in 2022, Jana was ranked as the best female show jumping athlete at the World Championships in Herning and won the Nations Cup team event at CHIO Aachen that same year.
In 2023, her talent was further confirmed with a victory in the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup alongside the German team. Jana was selected, along with Dorette, as a reserve for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
