Jonathon Millar has been a member of the Canadian Show Jumping Team for 20 years.
The first child of Canada’s most decorated equestrian, Ian Millar, Jonathon grew up on the horse show circuit but only began competing seriously himself at age 16.
At 19, Jonathon made his Canadian Equestrian Team debut in the Nations Cup at the Washington International Horse Show.
Travelling to Europe with the Team, Jonathon remained abroad, taking a riding position with renowned horseman Emile Hendrix, of Stal Hendrix, in the Netherlands.
In 2000, he returned to Canada to contest the Olympic Selection Trials, this time accepting a position with US team stalwart Laura Kraut in Middleburg, VA. Jonathon was first alternate to the Canadian Olympic Team for the Games in Sydney.
Winner of multiple Grand Prix, Jonathan launches Millare brook South in 2020, US-based operational arm of the family Millar Brooke farm, with his wife Kelly Soleau-Milar.
