Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Meredith Michaels Beerbaum started to ride and compete as a little girl. She racked up awards and ribbons in young rider categories, both in hunter competitions and in international show jumping.

In 1991, on summer break from studying political science at Princeton University, Meredith went to Germany to ride with Paul Schockemoehle.

What was meant to be a short time away turned into a turning point for Meredith: she decided to move to Germany permanently, marrying Markus Beerbaum, changing her citizenship and purchasing a property in Thedinghausen with her husband.

Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum has been ‘first’ on many occasions: the first woman to earn a place on the German team at the European Championships, and the first female equestrian in the world to reach the number one position on the FEI ranking for jumping. Since 1989, the year she won her first victory at the Wellington Grand Prix, Meredith has collected wins and medals in the top competitions in the world.

In recent years, Meredith has helped shape and train young talent in Europe and the United States, offering her expertise to younger generations.

Meredith is a Prestige ambassador and her collaboration with Prestige Italia has resulted in the X-Meredith, a saddle appreciated by equestrians around the world.
