German equestrian Sandra Auffarth is an eventing champion.
Her career has been studded by wins and medals in the world’s most important competitions.
She won her first Olympic medals at London 2012 with Opgun Luovo: team gold and an individual bronze.
She’s been an Olympic champion in eventing on two more occasions: winning team silver at Rio 2016, and coming in fourth place with her team at Tokyo 2020.
Sandra was even champion at the World Championships in Normandy in 2014, where she won individual and team gold, repeating the feat at Pratoni 2022.
She was on the podium at the European Championships at Luhmühlen 2011, where she won team gold and individual silver in eventing.
But Sandra does more than just compete. In 2014, she and her parents founded a horse farm and training stable in Bergedorf, near Ganderkesee. Her goal is to prepare young horses and help them reach the top levels of the sport.
